Stop Gorging

For several months now during card readings, what I’ve come to call “cosmic dumps” have been happening. Without going into the details, I will say that these dumps seem to be messages for all, rather than for the individual for whom I happen to be reading that day. And they certainly speak directly to the energetic shift that is occurring for our species.

There was recently a cosmic dump that was so visual, I feel I must share it. No… I was not shown visions of the end of the world, or external violence, or climate change, or politics.

There was, rather, a chaotic banquet that seemed to fill a large room, comprising a full landscape in the vision. Platters of just about everything imaginable, some featuring actual food, some holding ideologies and concepts.

There was little differentiation between any of the offerings -- nothing was particularly more attractive than another. If anything, the effect the picture had on me was extremely off-putting. Oh, there was PLENTY to be had. Too much, in fact.

The message continued: We were warned away from this ...abundance. Whether it would lead to physically gorging on food (and very likely ending up, at the very least, uncomfortable), or psychically/spiritually/morally gorging on all the causes, posts, demands for our money and attention, we were told that we do NOT have to consume everything. Choose one. Or perhaps two. NOT everything. And then let the rest go. No reason AT ALL to feel guilty about what you are not doing, or to start dwelling in “shoulds”. (Stop shoulding on yourself).

Yes, some of those dishes were definitely representing social media entrees. Some were platters of people who were pulling on our concerns and heartstrings. Others were side-servings of sound bites, conspiracy theories, and lies that were there for devouring. And then there were the desserts, the things disguised as innocent, sweet delectables, that worm their way into our subconscious and set up house-keeping. Perhaps you’ve been lured by one right down the “rabbit-hole.”

STOP GORGING. This was the message. You can SEE the pleas, memes, tweets, bids for attention, time, money… just CHOOSE not to eat of them -- or engage with them, if that makes more sense to you.

In a world where knowledge is currently doubling approximately every 12 hours, (YES. HOURS), you are not required to keep up. One individual cannot. Nor can one individual by themselves and their singular action, immediately change the world.

But each of us may choose what gets our attention, what is allowed to enter the digestive system, and this will certainly color your responses to life. (If you are not familiar with “the wolf you feed” story, look it up by your favorite search method). But, more than that, we are alerted, cautioned, warned, advised, admonished, to STOP. NOW. Take a deep look within.

What gifts do we bring to the table? What dish-- cause-- will most benefit from those gifts? Are you in a position to influence millions? Or perhaps, for today, nourishing your family or immediate circle is ALL you are called to do. That very act may give another the necessary strength or courage to do what you are not in a position to do yourself. Then YOU have done the work to move us forward.

What can YOU do? Not what do you think you should do. What CAN YOU do, now?

What do you LOVE to do? Seriously. Could what you already love to do make a difference to the world that matters to you? Super. Then there isn’t a question of which dishes deserve your attention. They are the ones you are already attracted to, that you already love. How can expanding what you love impact the issues we face today?

What you love=one dish. Or maybe two. THAT’s what you get to tackle.

STOP GORGING.
