Beginning

With a new website, spring upon us, and an age of transformation surrounding us, it seems only appropriate that my first blog should be on beginning.

We are all at various beginnings, even if we think there's nothing new for us under the sun. Each day IS a new beginning.

Don't dismiss that as a cliche. What will this new day bring? We may THINK we know. But we don't.

Perhaps you look forward to beginning the day, a new year, a new career, a new phase of your life, a new project.

Beginning.

Letting go of the old; embracing the new. Ending; beginning. Releasing the past; opening to the future. Leaving a comfort zone (even if you’ve grown to despise it, it is still a comfort zone); taking a risk, and doing something you haven’t done before. Leaving the known road; blazing a new trail. Putting down the familiar; taking up the foreign.

Beginning is messy. Beginning is scary. Beginning is exciting. Beginning brings change. Beginning starts with a clean canvas. Beginning is magic. Beginning allows for all things to be possible. Beginning begs the question, “What happens next?’

I welcome you to this journey. Let’s begin it together. Look back to the previous paragraph and let’s replace the word “Beginning” with “Creating ” Creating is messy. Creating is scary. Creating is exciting. Creating brings change. Creating starts with a clean canvas. Creating is magic. Creating allows for all things to be possible. Creating begs the question, “What happens next?’

I look forward to traveling with you and sharing some questions to answer as we create our lives. The Curious Cat (found on my homepage) will pose different questions for you to ponder that will hopefully help to illuminate your spiritual/creative journey.
